The Mis-Edventures successfully recreates the colorful world and quirky animated style of the series into a 3D environment. Gameplay requires a tag-team mentality: each of the three Ed-boys has a unique attack and group ability required to complete various tasks and puzzles in order to progress to the next level or open up bonuses. This team element helps to seperate it from the crowd a bit, as you switch back and forth between each Ed, but they dont' produce the fun factor found in similar titles like The Lost Vikings.
Each of the 6 + levels are very short and though I found them relatively easy to complete, the game's intended audience will likely struggle at many of the objectives required to pull of each "Scam" (level).
The voices come straight from the show, and just like the show, can be piercing and incredibly repetetive. Ed (the tall stupid one) incessantly laughs as he's running, even when not selected as the leader of the group. Each character is limited to about 2 phrases each when using their special ability which as one can imagine, gets old quick. Fortunately, as I said, the game is short. Collect a few jawbreakers (the boys' odd obsession), a few nickels to be spent on said jawbreakers at a gigantic vending machine, and complete the various goals of each level.
Ed, Edd n Eddy: The Mis-Edventures is decent kiddie fair but parents should be on hand for some of the more frustrating tasks (balance beams...trust me). Repetetive vocals and gameplay, even in such a short play-span leave much to be desired regardless of the player's age but it's bargain price makes the title an easy choice for parents with children who enjoy the show.
