Everyone's been asking when a new Mario game will find it's way to the DS. Not a sports game with Mario characters and not a classic remade with Mario's likeness, but a sidescroller starring the plumber. Nintendo announced The New Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo DS and it looks like a blast.

Expected release in late May, the title promises new worlds, new powers for Mario and Luigi AND a multiplayer mode. Video of the game play can be found here and we've got the latest screenshots.
